To provide the back-up and support for this commitment, we have come up with a set of rules and policies that help us live-up-to the expectations of our buyers and sellers. It includes the policies we run our operations on and the actions we plan to take in order to keep you and your affairs safe.

We insist on getting familiar with and following our rules and policies, which will help us sustain a safe environment for you and other members. It will also help avoid any interruptions that may result from inadvertent violations of our stated rules and policies. Some of our rules and policies are based on local legal requirements and others are based on our experience and intentional efforts on how to best protect our community of buyers and sellers.

Prohibited and restricted items

Even though you can sell anything on HopeNGet, we make sure the safety of our community is maintained at all times and we take this responsibility very seriously.

That’s why we make sure all the products and services being sold on HopeNGet comply with local legal laws and restrictions. In addition, some specific categories of products and services can be restricted or banned, you may hear from team HopeNGet about this conflict or your ad may not be approved to be published.

Moreover, if you are not sure whether a certain item falls under approved or not-approved list, you can contact team HopeNGet by going to the ‘Contact Us’ page and filling out the form and including details about your product.

Buying practices policy

Our buying practices policy represents the behavior we expect from the buyers on our platform. It ensures that our sellers are being treated with respect and have confidence in the services of HopeNGet.

We expect all our buyers to pay on time for the items they buy and do not exploit our feedback, returns, and other buyers’ protection programs.

If a buyer should make unreasonable demands, the sellers can contact them directly and with mutual understanding try to come to a solution. At times, buyers may not fully understand how unreasonable their requests might be or if their requests are not covered by the seller’s outlined conditions or business policies. In this case, where the buyer and seller cannot come to the solution on their own, you can contact team HopeNGet via our ‘Contact Us’ page, and provide details of the issue.

We also keep checks and watch out for excessive returns, and we may also take action against the said buyer if we see a pattern in their actions.

Feedback policies

We take feedback very seriously, we believe they give our users an opportunity to voice their honest reviews whether it is about their experience with a specific seller, or to just thank a buyer for successful purchase. We welcome all feedback from our users.

Member behavior policies

The level of trust among our members and the HopeNGet community is one of the foundation pillars of the HopeNGet experience. To maintain this level of trust, we expect all our users to be respectful of each other.

Our code of conduct or policies for members’ behavior are part of our “Terms of Use” to ensure everyone in our community is protected and the buying and selling experience on HopeNGet is equally enjoyable for all.

We have no tolerance at all for defamatory and abusive language coming from our members. We always feel very pleased to hear from our members, but do keep in mind that the unsolicited suggestions, proposals or ideas may hold non-proprietary status.

Listing policies

The basic purpose of listing policies is to make sure our buyers can have a great experience as they try to find what they need. Which is why we have some rules and guidelines that help us better maintain the listing items on HopeNGet.

To keep HopeNGet a safe place for all involved parties, we may sometimes remove certain listings that we believe violate our rules and policies. Together we can create this community well trusted and safe for each other.

Selling practices policy

We believe by having some basic guidelines for selling practices, we will be able to create a better experience for our sellers and buyers, and keep everyone happy.

Inaccurate location of any product can cause much confusion and take away from a buyer’s experience. Hence, we insist on being careful when putting in your location, it tells buyers where their product is shipped from and they also get an idea about the shipment cost and when they are likely to receive the parcel.

Be most thorough and clear when giving information about the product, its condition, the form of payment you will accept, any other applicable fees, return policy and shipping and handling details.  Being honest and upfront is always the right way, it builds trust and leads to a positive buying experience.

You don’t necessarily have to accept returns, but we do recommend that you do. It may help you find more buyers for your product. Whether you do or don’t accept returns, make sure you mention your terms in the listing.

If you happen to accept returns make sure you mention the conditions of acceptance. For example, you should clearly mention in the listing if you will only accept unused, and unopened items. You should also include the time period within which the return is acceptable, who will have to pay for return postage, if any restocking fee is applicable, and how the refund is issued.
